On November 15, 2023, JASSC was excited to partner with Morgan Lewis for a special two-panel event on electric vehicle (EV) and hydrogen fueling developments. Morgan Lewis’ industry-leading automotive and mobility team is actively engaged in the ever-evolving automotive and mobility space—monitoring and advising on issues pertinent to automotive manufacturers, electric utilities, sustainable energy companies, investors, and charging station developers.

Led by industry authorities with diverse viewpoints, the first panel covered developments in the EV space, including recent regulatory proposals, technological updates, and new risks, while the second panel covered energy infrastructure in the United States, with a focus on hydrogen fuel and the legal and policy issues it raises.

Morgan Lewis partner Nancy Yamaguchi, who serves on the Board of Directors of the Japan America Society of Southern California, and Frank Eguchi, the chairman of the Japan America Society of Southern California and group manager at Panasonic Automotive Systems, provided opening remarks.
