On March 11, 2011, the Japan America Society of Southern California created the 2011 Japan Relief Fund, a disaster relief fund to aid victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. One hundred percent of the tax-deductible contributions to the 2011 Japan Relief Fund have gone to organizations that directly help victims of the disaster.
