“What You Need to Know about Gift, Inheritance, and Estate Taxes in the U.S. and Japan Webinar
by Armanino LLP”
This page is to register for the English webinar only
Many Japanese people who live in the U.S. have family or relatives in Japan. What should you do if you receive a gift or inheritance from a relative in Japan, or if you give or leave property to a relative in Japan?
Japan and the U.S. have very different taxation systems for gifts, inheritance, and estates. Probate in the U.S. can be a time-consuming and expensive process for Japanese families with assets in the U.S. In this seminar, we will use specific examples to explain these taxes and procedures and how to plan for them.
