YUKO KAIFU

Yuko Kaifu started her career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.  Her previous assignments with the Ministry include the Embassy of Japan in Canada and various departments at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tokyo. During her service at the headquarters in Tokyo, she was appointed official interpreter for dignitaries such as Her Majesty the Empress Heisei, the Prime Ministers, and the Foreign Ministers of Japan.  In 2001, she was assigned to the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles as a Consul in charge of Political Affairs.  In 2007, she left the government to work at the Japanese American National Museum as Vice President in charge of its international programs, and then at MUFG Union Bank as Managing Director of Corporate Communications.  She joined JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles as the president in January 2016 to start up the public diplomacy institution launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.  She has served on the boards of the US-Japan Council, the International Visitors’ Council of Los Angeles, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the Advisory Board of UCLA Terasaki Center for Japanese Studies, and the Board of Governors of Japanese American National Museum as well as various Japanese cultural organizations in Southern California.  She graduated from Nara Women’s University and received M.A. in Sociology from Queen’s University in Canada.   

BOB GRAZIANO

Bob Graziano is responsible for corporate strategy and development for J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank in the Western Region. Bob has built a strong reputation in Southern California due to his community involvement and civic leadership. Bob is Chair of the Los Angeles Sports and
Entertainment Commission and the former Chair and current board member of the LA84 Foundation, which is the legacy organization created after the 1984 Olympic Games. Bob is a board member of the Los Angeles Business Council, and a member of the Leadership Council for International Medical Corps., a Southern California based global first responder to those affected by conflict, natural disaster and disease. Bob is a member of the California Club and serves on the Finance Committee. He is a member of the Lincoln Club and YPO Gold Los Angeles; and belonged to the Bel Air Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Previous board service includes the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Town Hall Los Angeles, The Jim Murray Memorial Foundation, USC Associates, Barlow Respiratory Hospital Foundation, LA’s BEST, YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles and the Japan America Society of Southern California and advisory board positions with The Jackie Robinson Foundation, The USC Leventhal School of Accounting, the USC Sports Business Institute. He was also a member of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials Host Committee and Vice Chair of the 2022 Super Bowl Bid Committee.


MIYAVI

MIYAVI is a musician, actor, and philanthropist, bridging cultures across the globe with his music and message. His unique style of guitar playing has taken him on 8 world tours in over 30 countries. Fans refer to MIYAVI as the “Samurai Guitarist.” He has released 13 studio albums. As a brand ambassador, MIYAVI has appeared as the face of Beats headphones in Japan and on billboards worldwide in Moncler’s Beyond campaign. MIYAVI is the brand ambassador for American Airlines and BMW. In 2020, he was selected to participate in Fender’s Next campaign and in Gucci's Off the Grid campaign. He has walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week 2018, modeling designer Yohji Yamamoto’s Y-3 collection. MIYAVI also continues his important work as a Goodwill Ambassador to UNHCR, visiting refugee camps in Lebanon, Thailand, Colombia and Bangladesh, and performing at the United Nations in New York, spreading the message of the refugee crisis around the world.

JUN ENDO

Forward Jun Endo signed to Angel City Football Club (ACFC) on December 20, 2021, from Nippon TV Tokyo Verdy Beleza of the Japanese Nadeshiko League. In 2019, she she won the Asia Football Confederation's Women's Club Championship with Tokyo Verdy Beleza.  Endo was selected to the senior Japan national team for the 2019 SheBelieves Cup and played against the United States for the first time on February 27. In 2018, Endo was selected for the Japan U-20 national team and played in six matches at the U-20 World Cup, scoring two goals with Team Japan en route to a championship victory. In 2016, she was selected to the Japan U-17 national team at the U-17 World Cup and played in four matches while scoring three goals in Japan’s second-place finish.

Your participation will make educational programs possible that benefit children attending Title I programs (i.e., schools serving a high percentage of children from low-income families). The programs you will help make possible include the Hitachi Japanese Kite Workshops, and Japan Bowl of California.
