About the Speakers

Mirai Nagasu
A figure skater and Olympic medalist, Mirai was born and raised in Southern California and began skating at the age of 5. She was one of the youngest competitors to win a USA national title in 2008. Mirai represented the US at the 2010 Winter Olympics at the age of 16 and placed 4th.  At the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, she won a bronze medal in the team event and made history by becoming the first American woman to land a triple Axel in the Olympics, and the third woman from any country to do so.

Mirai graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in December 2020.

Now living in the Boston area, Mirai supplements her time at the rink with charity work. She is an advocate for the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, and is currently learning how to take the skills and mindset that she has developed from competing and translating them into the business world, as a participant in EY’s Women Athletes Business Network program.  Mirai is also taking part in Dartmouth University's Next Step program that helps athletes and military personnel transition into a career in business.
