California Controller Betty Yee, chief fiscal officer for the world’s fifth largest economy, ensures the state’s monetary resources are accounted for and disbursed responsibly.  As the nature of work is changing and another economic downturn is inevitable, what is in store for the programs and services Californians need?  What are the impacts of the housing affordability crisis and other risks to the Golden State’s economic vibrancy?  In 2014, Yee became the tenth woman elected to statewide office in California’s history.  She serves on dozens of financing and regulatory authorities, as well as Governor Newsom’s Future of Work Commission.
