11th Los Angeles Tanabata Festival!

11th Annual Los Angeles Tanabata Festival 

More than 100 locally-created beautiful kazari (7-foot hanging decorations) and ten Award-winning kazari a(15-feet and 12-feet tall) from Sendai, Japan will be on display.  Eat, shop, play games at the many vendor booths, and relax while enjoying Japanese entertainment throughout the day.

  5:45pm - 8:00pm, Friday, August 9 (Opening Ceremony)

11:00am - 8:00pm, Saturday, August 10

11:00am - 4:00pm, Sunday, August 11

The Tanabata Festival displays are located in Little Tokyo at 1st Street and Central Avenue, in front of the Japanese American National Museum and Geffen/Museum of Contemporary Art.

Admission is free and reservations are not required.
