The participants will discover new tastes of genuine Japanese foods in endless array of Japanese foods and drinks including sushi, sashimi, soba, takoyaki, yakitori, tempura, beer, sake, shochu, green tea, and much more. This year, shabu shabu, Japanese hot pot with thin sliced beef, will be introduced for the first time. Japanese Food and Culture Association (JFCA), co-organizer, will host its tasting pavilion for new Japanese ingredients and sake produced by manufactures from Kouchi, Fukusima and Ibaragi prefectures in Japan who are seeking to market their products in California. Exhibitors will be demonstrating and presenting their finest products and assisting you to enjoy Japanese foods and cultures. Moreover, the event will include a whole tuna filleting show. Six-foot-long giant tuna will be cutting into fillets in front of the audience, which only highly trained sushi chefs can perform. Sushi eating contest and live Japanese music and dancing will be also included. Especially, as a special event, hip-hop and traditional dance combined "Yosakoi Naruko Dancing" will be performed.
